Gohar direct reduction unit with a production capacity of 1,700,000 t/a of sponge iron by MIDREX technology was commissioned as the first sponge iron production module of Golgohar iron and steel development company in 2015. ASTEC Company has participated in the commissioning of this project as an operator and then operation supervisor. The following is an excerpt from the company’s activities:

• Providing an experienced and specialized team for the hot commissioning of Sirjan Gohar mega-module
• Gohar direct reduction unit personnel training
• Supervising the performance of all laboratory affairs, production, maintenance and repair, safety, etc.
• Cooperation and supervision in preparing the list of required spare parts.
• Consulting and cooperation in the implementation of customized maintenance management software (CMMS) and its deployment.
