Direct Reduction Plant of Ardakan Steel Complex
Abtin Steel Technology Company was selected as the contractor operating the direct reduction unit of Ardakan Steel Complex in 2019. Direct reduction unit of ARDAKAN Steel Complex with a production capacity of 960,000 t/a of sponge iron by MIDREX technology has been constructed next to CHADORMALU Industrial Complex located in ARDAKAN, YAZD. Production units, material handling, maintenance and repair, safety, etc, are among the active units in this project.
The most important activities performed by the ASTEC company from the beginning of their presence in this project include the topics:
- Attending all stages of commissioning and testing of the Ardakan Steel Complex by ASTEC
- Taking theoretical tests, specialized, psychology and management interviews to employing operating personnel
- Holding a comprehensive theoretical and practical training course for personnel have employed through examinations
- Operation of all equipment, devices and auxiliary facilities in different parts of the reduction site, material handling, laboratory, water supply, gas station and…
- Performing all operations of inspection, service, maintenance, repair and industrial cleaning of equipment and devices
- Planning and executing monthly and annual shutdowns
- Design and development of HSE Plan and its specialized implementation
